In Sealed League, each player receives three booster packs and builds a 30-card minimum deck, adding any basic lands they need to their card pool. Players may play any number of matches. Matches are just one game, and each player may take one free mulligan per match. Each following week players add their choice of 1 booster pack to their card pool until the fourth and final week (for a total of 6 packs). No change to minimum deck size.
Each week, for every three losses a player may add their choice of 1 booster pack to their pool, with a limit of 1 pack per week obtained this way. Players can join the Magic League at any time during the four-week period. In addition to their initial booster pool, they receive boosters for the weeks they missed.
For every 3 wins players get their choice of a magic promo card released during a previous set from the current one. Get your Fatal Push FNM alt art foil card while supplies last.
Draft is a casual format, for new and experienced players alike. Each player receives three booster packs, opens one booster pack and takes one single card without revealing it to the other players. Then everyone passes the rest of their pack to player on their left, each player then takes one card from the pack they just received before passing again. This process continues until all the cards in those packs have been drafted. Then each player opens a second pack, but this time, they pass the pack to their right. After all those cards are drafted, they do the same with the third pack, passing to the left again. After this is done, we will provide basic lands, and each player will build a minimum 40 card deck, and play a 3 round tournament. Each round is 50 minutes, and first player to win 2 games wins the round. Regular draft cost of entry is $16.50, with a prize pool of 2 standard packs per player, distributed by record. Players keep all cards drafted. These events take place every Friday, the current set is Ixalan. Pods of 8 launch when full no earlier than 6 pm.
Standard is a competitive constructed format. Cost of entry is $10. Depending on the number of players, there may be 3 or 4 rounds. 50% of the Prize Pool goes to X-0, and 50% is split equally amongst X-1. (So if you go undefeated, you get 50% of the prize pool, if you lose only one game, you split the other 50% amongst other players who also only lost one game).
Modern is a competitive constructed format. Cost of entry is $10. Tuesdays are limited to 3 rounds, Fridays are a number of swiss rounds determined by the number of players. 50% of the Prize Pool goes to X-0, and 50% is split equally amongst X-1. (So if you go undefeated, you get 50% of the prize pool, if you lose only one game, you split the other 50% amongst other players who also only lost one game).
Commander is a very casual format where each player brings a commander deck containing 100 cards: 1 Commander and 99 others and plays in multiplayer games. Each deck may contain only one of any individual card, with the exception of basic lands. Cost of entry is $5.
Sealed is a casual format, for new and experienced players alike. Each player is given 6 booster packs to open, and from those packs, builds a minimum 40 card deck with the basic lands we provide. All unused cards are part of the player's sideboard. After deck construction, there is a 3-5 round tournament. Each round is 50 minutes, and first player to win 2 games wins the round. Cost of entry is $26, with a prize pool of 2 standard packs per player, distributed by rank or record. Players keep all cards opened.
Pauper is a complex but low cost constructed format. Players build a minimum 60 card deck and maximum 15 card sideboard using only cards that have been physically printed at least once at the common rarity. You may use as many basic lands as you would like, but are limited to up to 4 of any other card. Click here for the current banned list of pauper cards. Pauper is typically played in a multi-round tournament, usually between 3 and 5 rounds. Each round is 50 minutes.
Legacy is a constructed format that has no real restrictions on what sets can be used in your deck, though certain individual cards are banned, as are all silver bordered cards. The usual rules for constructed decks apply: a deck with a minimum of 60 cards and a side board of up to 15 cards, with no more than four of any individual card in your main deck and sideboard, excluding basic land cards.
